THE SECRET. Episode 10

I was shocked when I actually stood up to see a fierce face like a lion that left the jungle too hungry into the human society. Wait...! I tried to clean the blood that clouded my left eye to ensure that I could see properly. This man stood with a shirt with a tie and I wondered if someone could be dressed in such manner and still decide to push me against the door of my aunt's car. I had not been thinking well since the sharp hit of my head to the door of the car. I became afraid seeing that it was Mr Jay who was responsible for my forehead injury. He also looked confused as I was and without saying a word he left.


I got back home around 9:40pm with my head so heavy. my aunt was already asleep. I entered into another battle with my uncle who didn't even want to know my version of everything banned me totally from going to the Jays' house anymore and mandated that I don't use any car again until I have the brain to pass exams and go to the university like my mates who got admission into other universities. It was twenty days till the year 2015 and I tried to explain to him that the Academic Calendar was slow due to the ASUU strikes of the past.  "Shut up!... do you think you are talking to someone who has not been to the university before!" What else could I have possibly done?

I went to my aunt and informed her of the situation of things but she was able to make me understand the position of my uncle, that he wants the best for me and all I should do was "to be me." I went back to my room and within twenty minutes I rushed back to her room excited to show her something to read. As she read the words I listened carefully to make sure it wasn't a mistake. "Dear Justus Ogar, you have been offered provisional Admission to study Law in the Obafemi Awolowo University."

Life had just began with me! All through the night I was awake thinking how school life could be. I realized I wasn't the only one so happy about it. My aunt had called my mum at about 2am the next day to inform her of my admission. I wasn't even interested in talking to my mum as something struck me down. "Jesus O!" I was only seeing stars...
